This spiral and balcony (pictured on the left Fig. P2-6) was supplied and fitted in 2006. Due to the height it has a rest landing part way up the stairs. The landing balustrade is suspended and the balcony is supported by the large gallows brackets.
Please note: Diameters
of 1321mm and above do not require riser bars fitting
to the fascia in order
to comply with the 100mm building regulation. Given
the weight of aluminium, it is not normally necessary
to strengthen floors, even at secondary levels, before
installing our spiral stairs. |
Picture V001 This project involved 2 spiral staircases, landing balustrade to the mezzanine area and a walkway to connect to the doorway on the upper floor. The balustrade choosen was the Floral infll baluster on every third tread following the same design on the landing balustrade.
Picture 3-6 This new design cast spiral staircase has been created to give a more art-deco look and is ideal for both internal and external use. This photo was taken in our workshop whilst having the handrail and additional balusters fitted.
Picture V002 This Victorian spiral staircase has be designed with wrought iron balusters and a Walnut handrail to our clients specification. The 60mm round handrail is fixed to a steel core rail and has round steel newel posts at the top and bottom.
Picture V004 This solid top spiral staircase gives a more Georgian feel with just a simple cast tread face.
Victorian Landing Plates
|
Our landing plates are available
in either 60o or 90o angles
for all the cast spiral stairs, and to any angle and
shape in timber spiral stairs.
As you will see below, it is not necessary
to purchase a landing plate as you can build
your own in timber. If you do not purchase
a landing, we will provide a bracket for securing
the centre column to your landing, adjustable
to any angle.
