This beautiful oak helical stair was designed and built to fit to the curved wall and allow access half way down the stairs to another level. The bottom newel was carved to the customers' design with a bull-nosed tread at the bottom.
This "S" shape stair was custom built for a client to his specification. It has a square centre column, balusters and newel posts. The side string on the straight stairs section is solid and the handrail at the bottom of the stairs is turned to the floor rather than finishing with a newel post.
The "s" shape stair has a cut string on the straight section and turned support columns.
